For some men, fashion is a mystery, for many others it has become one the largest hobbies and interests in todays culture. The importance of dressing well is universal, for this reason Staples was born, a guide to: traditional styles rules, techinical garment knowledge, and contemporary brand knowledge. With 136 page guide anyone can start to build their own style. Additonal archival spreads include insight on a few of fashions most street savvy brands, their history, influences and takes on some of mens fashion iconic or noteworthy styles.
The intro includes a photo series "laundry day" about the ritual experience, humility and quirks of maintaining proper clothes.
Traditional laundry/garment repair services packaged their shirts in brown craft paper, to further the association I utilized two methods of the trade, serging and topstitching to make a pull tab; an industrial take on the opening process.
Each chapter contains brand knowledge + locations, garment anatomy, fitting + sizing, material analysis and styling options.
